Cardinalfish

Cardinalfishes are nocturnal and hides in crevices and under corals at daytime. They feed on plankton at night. A special feature with the Cardinalfish is that the males hold the fertilized eggs in their mouth until they are hatched.

Most species are about 10 cm in length, but Tiger Cardinalfish can be up to 22 cm.
