Flutemouth

Flutemouth has a slender body that is slightly wider than deep. It can be confused with Trumpetfish, but the tail is thinner.

All pictures shown here are taken during snorkeling in shallow water. I was able to get very close the them, but it was difficult for the camera to focus on such a thin object!

Flutemouths feed on small fish and can be up to 1.5 meter long, but large individuals are usually in deep water at daytime.

Flutemouth is also called Cornetfish.
