Giant Clam

The Giant Clam is the largest mollusk. It is reported to grow up to more than a meter in size, but most Giant Clams seen in Maldives are much smaller. 

They are often seen covered when corals, and many are partly embedded in coral blocks. They feed on plankton, which is filtered from the water.
